“I have been a strong supporter of The Nicholas Conor Institute for several years now although never did I suspect that my family would personally be impacted by the same rare disease that Conor had been diagnosed with 4 years ago. In October of 2008 my nephew Jackson was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and went through the same harsh treatments that Conor went through. Although both of them are not showing any cancer activity, we still do not know the true side effects that they both could experience later in life, thus why it is critical that safer personalized treatments be developed for children with cancer. Although extremely busy herself, Beth Anne Baber always made herself available day and night to provide my family with invaluable support and information about neuroblastoma, Jackson’s genetic test results and the treatments available and to that we will be forever grateful.”
