Carnegie Mellon University and the Richard King Mellon Foundation have partnered for more than a half-century to advance groundbreaking innovation, protect the environment, and jumpstart economic development within the Greater Pittsburgh region. In total, the Richard King Mellon Foundation’s support for CMU, including personal gifts from its founders, is nearly $300 million.
